Symptoms
Mouth ulcer >3 weeks; persistent lump; red/white patches; pain swallowing; loose teeth; numbness. Neck lump.
Causes
Smoking/chewing tobacco; Alcohol (especially with smoking); HPV infection; Poor diet; Sun (lip cancer).
Treatment
Surgery (remove tumour); Radiotherapy; Chemotherapy. Early detection is key.
Prevention
Stop smoking; limit alcohol; healthy diet; dentist check-ups; sun protection for lips.

See GP or Dentist if: ulcer lasts >3 weeks; persistent lump or red/white patches.
