Pancreatic cancer is a cancer that's found anywhere in the pancreas.
Symptoms
Jaundice (yellow skin/eyes); weight loss; tummy/back pain (worse lying down); fatigue; pale stools.
Causes
Age; Smoking; Obesity; Diet (red meat); Family history; Pancreatitis; Diabetes.
Treatment
Surgery (remove tumour); Chemotherapy; Radiotherapy. Enzyme supplements.
Prevention
Healthy weight; stop smoking; less alcohol/red meat.
When to see a doctor
See GP if: jaundice; unexplained weight loss >4 weeks; persistent tummy/back pain.
