Prostate cancer
Overview
Prostate cancer affects the prostate gland under the bladder and usually happens to men over 50 years old. There are different treatments and it can often be cured if diagnosed early.
Symptoms
No symptoms early on. Later: trouble peeing; weak flow; needing to pee often (night); blood in urine/semen.
Causes
Risk Factors: Age >50; Family history; Black ethnicity; Obesity.
Treatment
Surgery (remove prostate); Radiotherapy; Hormone therapy; Chemotherapy; Active surveillance.
Prevention
Healthy diet (low red meat); Exercise; Healthy weight.
